Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment, responding to psychiatric emergencies and providing crisis intervention services to adults and youth in crisis.

Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis assessment and de-escalation services to individuals presenting with acute mental health or behavioral crises
  • Develop and implement strength-based relationships with clients, focusing on their strengths and resilience
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, family members, and natural supports to ensure comprehensive care
  • Link clients to community resources, including mental health services, substance use services, and housing supports
  • Participate in crisis intervention, de-escalation training for law enforcement and other community stakeholders
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field preferred
  • One year of experience working in the mental health field, with a focus on crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle
