Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to service calls from the Service Resource Center, addressing equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Engage with customer representatives to identify and resolve equipment/system issues.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at customer locations.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately using communication devices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as scheduled.
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
  • Valid Fire Alarm License.
  • Proficient with test equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various positions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and travel overnight as needed.
  • Maintain inventory for timely customer service responses.
  • Retain necessary licenses as required by national, state, and local regulations.
