We currently have an opening for a driven individual to assume the role of Service Excellence HVAC/R Lead Technician. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring the optimal and efficient operation of Budderfly's HVAC Units.

Importance of This Role:

The replacement of HVAC systems with ultra-high efficiency units is a recent initiative by Budderfly aimed at enhancing energy savings at our clients' locations. Proper maintenance and adherence to the most efficient control parameters for these HVAC units are crucial for the success of this replacement program. This position plays a vital role within the impactful team located in the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the ongoing excellent performance of Budderfly HVAC Units within your designated area, which includes maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance risks associated with HVAC/R equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC/R systems.
  • Conduct commissioning checks of HVAC Units to guarantee continued, efficient operation, including verifying and adjusting HVAC RTU controller configurations alongside the mechanical functionality of the units.
  • Perform physical maintenance on Budderfly HVAC Units, including changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and examining units for other mechanical failures.
  • Respond to emergency service calls during nights and weekends (when on-call).
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and execute warranty services.
  • Carry out emergency repairs promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain daily logs and records of all activities in the company work order system.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant State and Federal standards as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Adhere to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Assist with customer inquiries.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a service technician for HVAC/R systems.
  • Experience with HVAC controls; familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is advantageous.
  • Ability to identify control and mechanical issues before they escalate.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, both technically and professionally.
  • A desire to advance professionally beyond basic maintenance tasks.
  • A passion for contributing to the development of a growing team of HVAC/R technicians in your area.
  • A customer-focused and safety-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel within designated areas.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and be available for on-call duties, including nights and weekends.

Compensation:

$35—$45 USD
