Position Title: Kitchen Sanitation Specialist
Compensation: $10 per hour

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist is tasked with upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards for all kitchenware, including plates, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that the dishwashing area remains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Key Responsibilities

Essential functions may include:

  • Sorting and rinsing dirty kitchenware and placing them in the dishwashing machine.
  • Organizing and stacking clean dishes, transporting them to designated areas.
  • Changing dishwater regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Hand-washing pots, pans, and trays as needed.
  • Disposing of trash and maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area.
  • Setting up and breaking down the dishwashing station.
  • Cleaning kitchen mats and floors.
  • Preparing soak tubs with cleaning solutions.
  • Conducting general cleaning of the restaurant and restrooms as directed.
  • Reporting any issues with the dishwashing machine to management.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Qualifications

Required: Ability to read and understand chemical labels.

Preferred: Previous experience in a commercial kitchen setting.

Work Environment

This position operates within a kitchen environment, frequently exposed to humidity, hot water, and cleaning chemicals. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting and moving objects.

Schedule

Flexibility is essential, with a requirement for evening and weekend shifts.
