Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our Department of General Practice and Prosthodontics at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service activities, with a focus on prosthodontics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Provide didactic and clinical instruction to pre-doctoral students and residents in fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics.
  • Clinical: Participate in the Faculty Private Practice, seeing patients, working with students and residents, and promoting best business practices.
  • Research: Collaborate with dental research programs and investigators on research protocols.
  • Service: Serve the Department of General Practice, Division of Prosthodontics, and participate in dentistry-related community service activities.
Requirements
  • Dental degree (DDS/DMD or equivalent)
  • Eligible for a dental license in Virginia
  • Minimum of three years' experience in teaching pre-doctoral students and residents in all aspects of Prosthodontics
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
  • Ability to contribute to and participate in a humanistic environment of learning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certified in Prosthodontics
  • Experience in sleep medicine and orofacial pain management
