As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and delivery of courses in a classroom setting, catering to students from various academic backgrounds and experiences. Minimum Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Science or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Virginia Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Credential or the ability to obtain it within two years of hire.
- A minimum of one year of relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science or a closely related field within the last five years.
- Experience in teaching or professional training in Emergency Medical Science through various formats, including courses, training sessions, and workshops.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Science or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Virginia Paramedic Credential is preferred.
- Virginia Education Coordinator credential is preferred.
- Instructor credentials from the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
- More than one year of relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science or a closely related field.
- Experience in community college teaching, including assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Familiarity with distance learning and alternative instructional delivery methods is also preferred.
