Adjunct Faculty Member in Kinetic Imaging

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) is seeking to establish a talent pool for potential adjunct faculty roles within the Department of Kinetic Imaging.
This talent pool will be utilized to fill temporary teaching positions as they arise, to provide specialized instructional expertise, and to address unique programmatic requirements that may not be met by current faculty.
Applicants in this pool may be considered for teaching opportunities across various disciplines within the Department of Kinetic Imaging, including but not limited to video art, animation (both 2D and 3D), sound design, and emerging technologies such as projection mapping, programming, physical computing, motion capture, gaming, and virtual reality.
Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted when an opportunity becomes available. This talent pool will remain active for the foreseeable future.
Adjunct faculty members are expected to serve as enthusiastic representatives of the Department of Kinetic Imaging, demonstrating a commitment to working with a diverse student body in a collaborative, inclusive, and educational environment alongside fellow instructors, students, and faculty.
Required Qualifications
- A terminal degree in a relevant field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Significant teaching experience and/or exceptional oral communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in fostering a diverse academic environment or a commitment to promoting diversity as a faculty member.
