The Substance Abuse Counselor plays a crucial role in treating individuals with addiction and substance use disorders. This position focuses on helping clients achieve recovery through counseling and support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' substance use history and related issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Lead individual and group counseling sessions to facilitate recovery.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Organize educational workshops on addiction prevention and recovery strategies.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; certification in substance abuse counseling is highly preferred.
  • Experience in addiction treatment or recovery settings is essential.
  • Strong communication and motivational interviewing skills are required.
