Key Responsibilities of the Lead Teacher

- Deliver a compassionate, high-quality educational program in assigned classroom(s).

- Ensure the health and safety of children in the classroom, maintaining consistent supervision.

- Foster engagement and interaction with children.

- Design, assess, and implement educational programs, including curriculum development and age-appropriate strategies to enhance learning.

- Maintain attendance records and provide individualized instruction.

- Implement age-appropriate developmental and cultural activities.

- Complete progress reports for the classroom.

- Participate in the response to intervention (RIT) process.

- Recognize and support the diverse needs of children, adjusting curriculum and environment as necessary.

- Oversee classroom management regarding size, ratios, attendance, and schedules.

- Collaborate with the Assistant Teacher to ensure adequate supplies and resources.

- Participate in classroom transition processes.

- Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures.

- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, maximizing enrollment potential.

- Follow required business management practices.

- Exhibit enthusiasm and a nurturing demeanor consistently.

- Contribute to team efforts in achieving the company’s vision.

- Assist in quality rating improvement initiatives.

- Communicate clearly and effectively with parents and staff.

Education and Experience Requirements

An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Elementary Education with twelve (12) ECE credits, or an Associate's degree in a related field with eighteen (18) ECE credits, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in ECE or Elementary Education with eighteen (18) ECE credits, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field with thirty (30) ECE credits is required. Candidates must possess advanced interpersonal and communication skills, creativity in problem-solving, proficiency in English reading and writing, and a basic understanding of technology and MS Office programs.
