Position Summary

The Senior Systems Administrator will oversee Enclos Corp's network and computing infrastructure by executing the following responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve network and hardware challenges within the operational environment.
  • Assist fellow IT team members in addressing complex software, hardware, and procedural issues.
  • Ensure help desk support is accessible to all employees during designated hours.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to manage office and project site setups, including the procurement and installation of necessary data and phone lines, hardware, and copiers/printers.
  • Collaborate with the VP of IT to strategize future enhancements to the company's technological infrastructure.
  • Develop an annual plan for phasing out outdated hardware and ensure its execution.
  • Supervise routine maintenance and upgrades of the virtual infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for both hardware and software within the IT department.
  • Schedule the installation of hardware and software related to various components of the IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the backup of critical data to safeguard information integrity.
  • Maintain and document the Disaster Recovery procedures for the organization.
  • Provide training to System Administrators I and II to ensure they can fulfill their job responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications

  • A two-year vocational/technical certificate in computer studies coupled with seven years of experience in a System Administrator capacity. Equivalent experience in computer support may be considered in lieu of the certificate.
  • Proficient in computer repair and configuration.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of Windows operating systems, computer components, memory management, configuration, and TCP/IP network connectivity.
