POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing Enclos Corp's network and computer systems through the following key responsibilities:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and hardware issues within the operational environment.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to address complex software, hardware, and procedural challenges.
  • Ensure help desk support is accessible to all employees during designated hours.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to manage office and project site setups, including the procurement and installation of necessary data and phone lines, hardware, and copiers/printers.
  • Partner with the VP of IT to strategize future enhancements to the company's technological infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement an annual plan for phasing out outdated hardware.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and upgrades of the virtual infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for both hardware and software assets.
  • Schedule installations of hardware and software for various components of the IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure regular backups of critical data and maintain documentation of disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide training to System Administrators I and II to enable them to fulfill their job responsibilities effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A two-year vocational/technical certificate in computer studies, coupled with seven years of experience in a System Administrator capacity. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal certification.
  • Proficient in computer repair and configuration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Windows operating systems, computer components, memory management, and TCP/IP network connectivity.
