Fleet Manager - Tank Container Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Fleet Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our fleet of ISO tank containers, ensuring efficient operations, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment levels throughout North and South America, identifying imbalances and reporting to Operations Management and Sales Team.
• Review and update depot inventory reports for North and South Americas, ensuring accurate information.
• Request periodic test certifications from leasing companies and upload them to the TCS system.
• Coordinate equipment positioning between regions and depots, identifying qualified partners and negotiating repositioning costs.
• Select suitable TC equipment and assign it to export orders, coordinating with Export Supervisor and Export Operators.
• Review SDS for prior product compatibility and provide informed recommendations to Operations and Sales Teams.
• Work closely with Maintenance & Repair Manager to monitor vendor performance, tank repair status, and periodic testing status.
• Update Container Tracking Tool regularly and run equipment status reports to ensure timely updates by the Operations Team.
• Check and maintain shipment-specific profiles, equipment preps, and prior cargo restrictions.
• Approve vendor invoices related to duties and responsibilities.
• Participate in team meetings to suggest process improvements and encourage collaboration.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in the ISO tank field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory and management experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in managing customer complaints.
• Ability to multitask and handle dynamic problems and variables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advance Excel skills and strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Products.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish a plus.
