Allied Consultants, Inc. is a well-established firm specializing in providing top-notch technical and business staffing solutions. We are currently in search of a qualified Data Security Analyst to join our technical services team.

Position Overview

This role is designed for a dedicated professional who will be an integral part of the client's IT Enterprise Information Security team. As a Data Security Analyst, you will be instrumental in evaluating and fortifying the security framework of the client's IT infrastructure. Your collaboration with various teams will be essential in pinpointing vulnerabilities, crafting secure solutions, and enhancing the overall security stance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of critical projects while ensuring the secure transition of data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders to facilitate the secure migration of data to cloud-based solutions.
  • Work alongside the Security Architecture Management Team to assess, design, and implement security measures that adhere to the agency's policies and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough security evaluations, penetration tests, and risk assessments to uncover vulnerabilities and propose effective remediation strategies.
  • Provide insights into security technologies and practices that can enhance the organization's security architecture.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security standards, guidelines, and documentation for IT systems and projects.
  • Participate in security incident response efforts, analyzing incidents and contributing to resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate the security implications of proposed changes and new technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in information security architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance with government regulations.
  • 8 years of experience in security architecture.
  • 8 years of expertise in security assessment techniques and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • 8 years of experience with security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • 8 years of experience in database migration strategies and securing both legacy and cloud-based systems.
  • 8 years of strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • 8 years of analytical skills to identify security gaps and recommend solutions.
  • 8 years of knowledge regarding regulatory compliance related to data security and privacy.
  • 8 years of familiarity with cloud security principles and services.
  • 8 years of understanding of RDS on AWS, including security and backup features.
  • 1 year of relevant certifications such as AWS CCP/SCS, CISM, and CISA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in AWS Cloud security and governance advisory services.
  • 1 year of experience with sensitive data handling and data privacy regulations.
  • 1 year of familiarity with IBM z/OS and its components.
  • 1 year of knowledge regarding mainframe security models.
