Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Career Training Services Director at Job Corps, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our programs. You will oversee the development and implementation of career training services, ensuring that our students receive the best possible education and training to succeed in their chosen fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, including DOL, PRH, FAR, and OSHA.
  • Communication and Directive Implementation: Oversee the communication and implementation of directives from DOL/Equus, ensuring that all departments are informed and aligned.
  • Audit and Quality Assurance: Conduct audits to ensure that all departments are following DOL/Equus directives, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Fiscal Management: Ensure that fiscal expenditures are in line with Equus, FAR, and DOL guidelines.
  • Departmental Guidance and Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight to areas of concern, ensuring that all departments are meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Center Participation and Community Involvement: Oversee center participation on WIA Boards and Youth Councils, and ensure community involvement through community-directed activities, work-based learning, and center participation in community events.
  • Career Development Services Systems Plan: Oversee the full implementation of the Career Development Services Systems plan, ensuring that all departments are aligned and working towards common goals.
  • Staff Development and Training: Develop and train staff to ensure optimal student achievement, and assess personnel needs to ensure that the department is adequately staffed.
  • Accountability and Safety: Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property, and adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field.
  • Experience: Eight years of related experience, with three to five years of supervisory experience. Job Corps experience preferred.
  • Skills: Experience working with diverse youth, and a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
