Faculty Group Practice Certified Mammographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Faculty Group Practice Certified Mammographer to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, ensuring patient safety protocols, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures in accordance with hospital and radiology information systems protocols.
- Verify patient information and status, and follow appropriate procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders.
- Use standard procedures to identify the correct patient and review requisitions to understand the type of exam required.
- Perform visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment and report any malfunctions or missing/damaged equipment.
- Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, and explain procedures and equipment to patients clearly.
- Collaborate with other technologists to ensure effective patient care and troubleshoot any issues that arise during examinations.
- Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Advance Certification in Mammography.
