Faculty Group Practice Lead Mammographer Manhattan

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Faculty Group Practice Lead Mammographer to join our team in Manhattan. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic mammographic procedures, monitoring and reviewing staff work, and facilitating patient flow through the Breast Imaging Center.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic mammographic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Monitor and review the work of technical and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Facilitate patient flow through the Breast Imaging Center, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify patient requisitions and determine the type of protocol required for radiographic examinations.
- Implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Demonstrate skill in equipment setup, utilization, and maintenance procedures, performing visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment.
- Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- New York State license to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Advance Certification in Mammography.
- Five years of experience in radiology, with a strong background in mammography and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- College graduate.
- Two years of experience in mammographic and quality control procedures.
