We are seeking a highly skilled Faculty Group Practice Certified Mammographer to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring patient safety protocols and providing exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure patient safety by following established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify exam requirements and ensure accurate patient information.
• Utilize hospital and radiology information systems to access patient information, schedule exams, and verify orders.
• Perform visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment and report any malfunctions or missing/damaged equipment.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology, a New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology, and be Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Advance Certification in Mammography is also required. Additionally, a College graduate with two years of experience in Mammographic procedures is preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
