Faculty Group Practice Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Radiologic Technologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, ensuring patient safety protocols, and serving as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram.
Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate knowledge of hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology.
- Select appropriate patient information from HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Access patient information, schedule exams, appointment times, type of exam, patient reports, etc.
- Follow departmental HIS/RIS system procedures and protocol to ensure orders are verified and processed correctly.
- Effectively assess patient information and status, and follow appropriate procedure(s) accordingly.
- Use standard procedures to identify the correct patient.
- Review patient requisition and understand the type of exam required by each requisition and confer with medical staff regarding clarification when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Advance Certification in Mammography.
- College graduate.
- Two years experience in Mammographic procedures.
