General Overview

Develop and nurture client relationships to generate and manage new accounts while reinforcing existing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with clients and partners to leverage business development opportunities.
  2. Monitor competitive landscape and devise innovative strategies for account acquisition and retention.
  3. Create proactive strategies to enhance brand visibility in the construction sector.
  4. Stay informed about industry developments, products, services, and relevant information for clients and prospects.
  5. Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare bids for new projects.
  6. Partner with senior management to negotiate sales contracts that maximize profitability while preserving client relationships.
  7. Coordinate with departmental leaders to ensure smooth operations for current and prospective sales agreements.
  8. Work alongside material suppliers on builder selections and pricing strategies.
  9. Assist in resolving escalated operational challenges.
  10. Conduct research on leads using available resources (including demographic/economic databases, industry publications, networking contacts, etc.).
  11. Initiate contact with potential clients and build relationships.
  12. Collaborate with customers and prospects to finalize options for new agreements.
  13. Perform additional business development, operational, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities.

2. Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-up capabilities.

3. Basic mathematical skills are essential.

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and adaptable to new software systems.

5. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

6. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

8. Capable of managing multiple deadlines on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

9. Ability to understand operations across various departments such as field operations, estimating, supply chain, and accounting to effectively grow the business.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Previous experience in sales or business development within the construction or flooring sectors is preferred.

3. Familiarity with common software applications is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

1. Ability to lift, push, and/or pull loads exceeding 20 lbs.

2. A valid driver's license is required with a clean driving record.

3. Frequent travel is necessary, averaging 1-2 nights away from home each week.
