Job Summary

Hudson River Housing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and upkeep of our properties, including landscaping, housekeeping, and general maintenance repairs.

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of energy, physical stamina, and attention to detail. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that our properties are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed landscaping services for all buildings and grounds, including cutting grass, pruning shrubs, and raking leaves.
  • Assist with general housekeeping and room turnovers, including cleaning appliances, stripping and waxing floors, and removing trash and debris.
  • Perform routine maintenance repairs, including basic plumbing and electrical work.
  • Inventory and manage landscaping and housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Provide on-call and emergency assistance as needed, including snow removal and other inclement weather situations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in landscaping, housekeeping, or general maintenance repair.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Valid NYS driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift at least 70 pounds and work in extreme temperatures.
