Position Overview:

The Field IT Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theater technology. This position involves installing, testing, and maintaining essential IT hardware and software for theater functions. You will collaborate with a remote team on project implementations and provide support for technical escalations. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your technical skills in a fast-paced and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to designated theaters to perform new installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and special projects. Occasional travel outside the usual area may be necessary for unique assignments.
  • When not traveling, the selected candidate will work remotely on various projects using company-provided equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, networking devices, digital signage, and digital cinema management systems.
  • Collaborate with the Cinemark Technical Operations Support Center to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assist theater management with the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows Server).
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical or Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant IT certifications.
  • Solid understanding of Cisco networking.
  • Experience with cinema technology, including computer systems, point-of-sale systems, projection, and related equipment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
