Electrical Engineering Research Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineering Research Lead to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a leader in your field, you will be responsible for guiding research and development efforts in wireless communications and networking engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee research and development efforts in wireless communications and networking engineering.
  • Lead a team of engineers and researchers in the design and development of advanced wireless communication systems.

Requirements:

  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or another technical discipline.
  • At least three years of experience in leadership roles in research and development projects.
  • Proven track record of success in leading teams and driving innovation in the field of wireless communications and networking engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of engineers and researchers.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Top Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance.

About the Position:

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-priority research and development projects that drive innovation and advancement in the fields of wireless communications and networking engineering.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
