Construction Inspector

As a Construction Inspector at Barton & Loguidice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in inspecting and documenting daily construction activities, preparing daily and weekly reports, and measuring quantities of materials used and work performed.

• Inspect and Document Daily Construction Activities: Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Prepare Daily and Weekly Reports: Compile and submit detailed reports on construction progress, including quantities of materials used and work performed.
• Measure Quantities of Materials Used and Work Performed: Accurately measure and record the quantities of materials used and work performed on-site.
• Prepare/Assist in Preparation of Monthly Payment Requests: Assist in preparing and submitting payment requests to clients, ensuring accurate and timely payment for work completed.
• Review Claims for Extra Work and Change Order Costs: Review and analyze claims for extra work and change order costs, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Assist in Coordination of Utilities: Assist in coordinating the installation and maintenance of utilities on-site.
• Interpret Contract Plans and Specifications: Interpret and apply contract plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in Coordination between the Owner, Contractor(s), and Government Agencies: Facilitate communication and coordination between project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and government agencies.

• 10+ Years of Site Construction Inspection/Management Experience: Possess extensive experience in site construction inspection and management, including preparation of daily field reports and interaction with project stakeholders.
• Valid Driver's License and Own Transportation: Possess a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Physical Ability to Safely Negotiate Construction Sites and Facilities: Be physically able to safely navigate construction sites and facilities, including uneven terrain and confined spaces.
• Geosynthetic Materials and Soil Installation Experience: Possess experience with geosynthetic materials and soil installation, including certification as a CQA Geosynthetic Materials and Compacted Clay Liner Inspector (GRI).

Estimated Pay Range: $33-45/hour.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
