Controller Opportunity

A leading construction company is seeking a seasoned and driven Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting and finance operations and support the company's continued growth.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry.
  • ERP experience.
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Must have strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
