Job Overview

WestLand Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Water/Wastewater Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring professional engineers, engineers in training, design drafters, and other technical staff. You will also be responsible for creating and developing written proposals, writing technical engineering reports, and developing and managing water and wastewater design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor professional engineers, engineers in training, design drafters, and other technical staff.
  • Create and develop written proposals.
  • Write technical engineering reports.
  • Develop and manage water and wastewater design projects, including designing water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pumps stations, lift stations, piping and conveyance systems, and other water/wastewater system components.
  • Oversee hydraulic models and master plans.
  • Manage and coordinate deliverables from subcontractors, vendors, and partner consultants.
  • Facilitate and/or coordinate communication and the delivery of information between WestLand, our subcontractors, and our vendors with our clients.
  • Build relationships with current and future clients and vendors.
  • Manage projects with multiple levels of staffing, vendors, and subconsultants, as well as oversee the management of simple projects by junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or a related field.
  • P.E. license required. Preference given to candidates registered (or able to register) as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Arizona.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working with water/wastewater systems.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a project manager in an engineering environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
