Heavy Duty Truck Body Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Body Installer to join our team at Seneca Tank. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing heavy duty truck bodies, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair heavy duty truck bodies, including liquid bulk tanks, chassis, and fluid delivery systems.
- Diagnose and repair structural and functional issues with truck bodies, ensuring that they are safe and functional.
- Perform DOT tests and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with our sales and service teams to ensure that customer needs are met.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in truck body installation and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience building or repairing diesel, gas, or hydraulic equipment utilizing hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
- Prefer multiple years of experience installing truck bodies, but not required.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Working knowledge of arithmetic and its application.
- Attention to detail and ability to plan and organize work.
- Basic computer usage skills.
The position requires the ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
The position also requires the ability to perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
