Job Summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician to join our Critical Power Division. As a Diesel Engine Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines and generators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engine removal, disassembly, and teardown
  • Evaluation of components and repair/maintenance as needed
  • Sending key parts for machining and engine reassembly
  • Keeping detailed records of all work performed
  • Daily communication with parts department and shop foreman
  • Performing other related duties as assigned/needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years engine building experience
  • Experience with heavy diesel engines and generators
  • Experience with MTU, PSI, and other diesel brands
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with software and tablet systems
  • Able to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Must pass pre-employment testing (background and drug test)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Solid shop floor management knowledge
  • Leadership skills in a specialized repair environment
  • Working knowledge of shop layout and industrial engineering principles
  • Valid Driver's License
