Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician to join our Critical Power Division. As a Diesel Engine Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines and generators.
Key Responsibilities- Engine removal, disassembly, and teardown
- Evaluation of components and repair/maintenance as needed
- Sending key parts for machining and engine reassembly
- Keeping detailed records of all work performed
- Daily communication with parts department and shop foreman
- Performing other related duties as assigned/needed
- Minimum of two years engine building experience
- Experience with heavy diesel engines and generators
- Experience with MTU, PSI, and other diesel brands
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Computer literacy and familiarity with software and tablet systems
- Able to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Must pass pre-employment testing (background and drug test)
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Solid shop floor management knowledge
- Leadership skills in a specialized repair environment
- Working knowledge of shop layout and industrial engineering principles
- Valid Driver's License
