Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance our quality management systems in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Review processing activities to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Assure that products are being produced in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's Part 110.0;117.0)
  • Coordinate the Food Safety Plan
  • Investigate and communicate to the Q.A director all food safety issues
  • Supervise the daily activities of the technicians
  • Schedule the work assignments of the technicians
  • Assess the training needs of the technicians, making sure that training is adequately performed and documented
  • Ensure that a safe work environment exists in the department and that safety meetings are conducted and documented
  • Review and update work aids (instructions, charts, manuals, bulletins, code date calendars, etc.) essential for verification of product quality
  • Monitor technicians' adherence to department's policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Assist in resolving quality related issues throughout the plant
  • Participate in safety and sanitation audits
  • Coordinate Mock Recall teams and assist in successfully completing mock recalls
  • Assume the duties of Lead Auditor and Qualified Individual (FSMA)
  • Collect and interpret data needed to continuously improve production processes and product quality
  • Verify that department's standard operating procedures complies with BRC requirements

Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Product Inspection, Production Control, GMP, Spanish, Food Safety, FDA Audits, USDA, Mock Recalls, SQF, FSMA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, Quality Training, Quality Management Systems, Quality Management, Supplier Relationships
  • 3 years of experience in BRC preferred
  • ISO and HACCP experience required
  • 7 years of experience in a management role
