The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the STARBASE Program Manager. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of STEM education and program administration.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective operation of the STARBASE Program.
- Manage and direct the program's staff, including performance management and evaluation.
- Serve as a liaison with various state and national departments and agencies that interact with the program.
- Conduct conferences and briefings to promote the STARBASE Program and its benefits.
- Keep the Department of Military Affairs Chief Operations Officer informed of current trends and practices in the STARBASE program.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM or Education field.
- Experience in educational supervision and management, including knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Education lesson planning and assessment.
- Ability to recognize and evaluate effective teaching practices and classroom management skills.
- Extensive experience in elementary education or program management is preferred.
