Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team at Super Star Car Wash, a leading provider of car wash services with over 100 locations across AZ, CA, CO, and TX. As a key member of the HR/Finance team, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our organization, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation time, and free weekly car washes. We also offer tuition reimbursement and a referral program with a payout of $150.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis is a multi-state compensation expert role that requires advanced knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now, advanced Excel skills, and a proven track record in managing weekly payroll, multi-state payroll, and commission-based pay. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering the end-to-end payroll process for a multi-location, multi-state organization using ADP Workforce Now.
- Processing weekly payroll for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Reviewing timesheets, commission reports, overtime, and other pay-related items to ensure accuracy.
- Verifying and ensuring all payroll data is updated correctly, including new hires, terminations, benefits, deductions, leave accruals, and commissions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years of payroll experience, with a strong background in payroll processing for a mid-to-large-sized organization.
- Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now platform.
- Proven experience in handling payroll for multiple states and jurisdictions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas, and data analysis).
- Strong knowledge of payroll-related tax laws, deductions, and compliance regulations.
