Job Title: Principal Loads Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Loads Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, FL. As a key member of our Vehicle Engineering team, you will be responsible for performing complex loads analyses and providing technical expertise to support advanced development programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform flight loads, ground loads, gust response, flutter, aeroservoelastic responses, sonic fatigue analysis, and support equipment shock and vibration qualification
  • Develop loads for miscellaneous conditions including canopy, door, pressurization, engine mount, external store, tie-down/mooring, and aerial refueling
  • Collaborate with a small team to rapid resolution of complex technical loads problems
  • Convey complex technical problems diplomatically and professionally to both other engineering disciplines and leadership
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience with aircraft loads (flight/aero, ground)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Experience in the use of industry standard loads and dynamics analysis software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP, ZONAIR, ZAERO
  • Experience with MATLAB and CAD Tools (NX)
