Operations Manager Job Description

At Levata, we're seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Holland, MI CLC facility. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for coordinating, administering, and managing the operational activities of the facility, including the management of warehouse supervisors and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and administer the daily operations of the CLC Holland facility, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and activities.
  • Review daily inventories and plan daily production moves, order fulfillments, and pass-through orders to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to coordinate facility activities, promote open communication, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to investigate and resolve product quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Design and implement warehouse operations programs and strategies that align with company goals and objectives, ensuring close integration with overall business objectives.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing methods to manage, implement, and coordinate operations, reducing or eliminating nonconforming product and financial losses.
  • Perform training needs analysis, develop, and coordinate the implementation of facility-wide training programs, as well as individual development plans for operations staff.
  • Oversee and monitor the workload and productivity of operations staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the hiring, performance evaluation, and discipline process for operations staff, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
  • Establish continuous improvement opportunities to streamline workflow and operational efficiencies, perform cost containment exercises, and create best practices for all warehouse and preprint job functions.
  • Manage the compliance of all safety and ISO requirements for the facility, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Plant or Operations Manager capacity in a technical manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience using Lean Manufacturing techniques, such as Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping/facility optimization, is strongly desired.
