Job Title: Communications Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team at Quality Technology Services, LLC. As a key member of our Brand, Marketing, and Communications team, you will be responsible for driving our public relations efforts to enhance our global brand and reputation.

About the Role:

The Communications Manager will be responsible for implementing data-driven public relations strategies that align with our overall goals and objectives. This includes creating and leading public relations content across a broad array of channels, executing our analyst relations strategy, and serving as the company's media lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement public relations strategies that align with our overall goals and objectives
  • Create and lead public relations content across a broad array of channels, including press releases, media advisories, website updates, and company statements/quotes
  • Execute our analyst relations strategy by providing information about our services to engaged industry analysts, external agencies, and vendors
  • Serve as the company's media lead, responding to inquiries from the press, including reporters and journalists
  • Manage media relations, including pitching stories and responding to inquiries from reporters and journalists
  • Actively track and report data findings on industry news/trends, market activities, competitive practices, inquiries, and client surveys to identify opportunities to better position the company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including Blackstone, industry analysts, thought leaders, industry influencers, partners, press/media contacts, and customers
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key metrics related to analyst relations activities, including media coverage, sentiment, and influence
  • Promote and attend special events/functions as needed, reporting on corporate milestones and activities
  • Develop and execute crisis communication plans as needed
  • Support internal and marketing strategies and internal, executive, and marketing communications as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in public/media relations
  • Strong media relations communication skills in accordance with Associated Press style guidelines for creating compelling public content
  • Experience in the data center or technology industry, as well as experience with public relations and earned media software (Cision)
