Transportation Specialist

As a Transportation Specialist with the City of Amarillo, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. This position requires a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a vehicle in all types of weather and road conditions
• Issue day passes for passengers and track passenger counts and types
• Complete daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Report all vehicle or equipment defects to the appropriate person promptly
• Provide limited assistance to persons with disabilities
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of driving experience
• Valid Texas driver's license or Commercial Driver's License with a P endorsement
• Ability to pass a standard Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
