Zoetis is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for managing the supply of materials to meet production plans and target inventory levels, ensuring operational and production continuity.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement and Inventory Management: Execute purchase orders to schedule supply of materials to meet production requirements and target inventory levels.
- Raw Materials and Packaging Component Management: Manage Raw Materials and Packaging Component inventories ensuring their availability for production schedules while maintaining the correct inventory levels.
- Order Management and Delivery Coordination: Day-to-Day order management and management of deliveries.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Support supplier relationships and coordinate with procurement on continuous improvement of the supplier base.
- Planning and Strategy Development: Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate planning strategies for delivery of materials from vendor to point of use.
- Risk Management: Assess minimum order quantities against planning assumptions and understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedules.
- Corrective Action and Inventory Integrity: Investigate and implement corrective actions for material shortages impacting production and monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials.
- Inventory Management and Planning: Create and maintain semi-finished good and finished good boms and support and coordinate material changes to ensure accurate demand planning requirements, change initiatives, and compliance.
- Operational Excellence and Inventory Accuracy: Utilization of Operational Excellence Methodologies to identify and improve product supply, inventory management, resource utilization, and or planning tools and support Inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
- Obsolete Stock Management: Minimize obsolete stock.
- Production Order Management: Confirm date of manufacturing and artwork for all production orders.
- Technical Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge and practical experience of production, inventory and planning systems currently deployed in Zoetis including but not confined to SAP, SNP, and PWS.
- Adaptability and Prioritization: Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Excel Skills: Strong working knowledge of intermediate Excel functions such as formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc.
- Teamwork and Communication: Proven ability to work in a team environment to meet short- and long-term objectives and ability to conceptualize, analyze and implement new methodologies in support of improving customer service, inventory management, and business alignment.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to function and influence in a team matrix environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing and APICS Training: Demonstrated understanding of Right First Time and Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles preferred and APICS training preferred.
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration or related disciplines applicable to Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or 4 years' related experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, and/or Marketing.
- Green Belt Certification: Green belt certification.
- Lean Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping: Experience in lean six sigma, value stream mapping, visual management, etc.
