Position Overview:

The Training Specialist plays a crucial role in the onboarding and continuous education of our billing team. This position is essential for ensuring that both new and existing staff are well-versed in billing processes and procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate comprehensive training sessions for new billing personnel, focusing on essential billing functions and responsibilities.
  • Provide ongoing support and training updates for current staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the creation and regular revision of training materials to ensure they are current and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding of medical office terminology and billing procedures.
  • Proven experience in billing functions, including charge posting, payment processing, and follow-up.
  • Strong leadership abilities to coach and guide team members effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage workflow efficiently.
  • Proactive in identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, preferably across multiple specialties.
  • Experience in training or educational roles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices is essential.
  • Familiarity with Medent software is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is required.
