The ideal candidate will be capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment. This role is designed to transition from temporary to permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine submitted claims for precision and completeness
- Perform prompt follow-ups and investigations on all outstanding claims with insurance providers
- Engage in insurance appeals and manage corrected claims correspondence
- Leverage all available online platforms for claim-related information
- Prepare and dispatch appeals and corrected claims packets, along with other necessary disputes
- Assist in securing pre-authorizations when required
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing
- At least 1 year of experience in out-of-network billing
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
