About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Wellpath. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients by implementing established policies and procedures and intervening with proper techniques and safety precautions.
  • Verify medications, gather patient history information, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
  • Assist healthcare practitioners and respond to patient crises as per the site's policy and procedure.
  • Adhere to infection control principles, provide emotional and physical comfort to patients, and maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment in good working order.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility.
