We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant - Medication Assistant to join our team at The Village Senior Residence. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant - Medication Assistant will be responsible for providing routine daily nursing care and services to our residents, in accordance with their individualized care plans and as directed by our nursing staff. This includes administering medications, responding to resident call lights, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, and documenting resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications to residents as directed by our nursing staff, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Resident Care: Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as assisting with mobility and transfers.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, including cleaning and disinfecting resident care equipment and supplies.
- Communication: Respond to resident call lights and bells, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Documentation: Accurately document resident care and services provided, including medication administration and resident interactions.
Requirements
- Licensure: Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and a licensed Medication Assistant in accordance with state laws.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and maintain confidentiality.
