Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Hand Focus/Ambulatory department at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of therapists, and contributing to the development of programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert occupational therapy services to patients with hand and upper limb disorders.
  • Lead and mentor a team of occupational therapists, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and evaluate patient progress.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice occupational therapy in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of four years of clinical experience, with a strong background in hand therapy.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a hospital environment, with exposure to blood/body fluids/hazardous materials, communicable diseases, and unpleasant odors. The position also involves physical effort, lifting, transferring, and positioning of patients and equipment, which may result in musculoskeletal strain or injury.
