Job Summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Center for Child Development. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive developmental assessments and treatment plans for high-risk NICU graduates and young children (0-3.5 years).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct developmental assessments, including Bayley 4, for high-risk NICU graduates and young children (0-3.5 years) at the Center for Child Development.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize development and function.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
  • Provide consultation and education to families, focusing on enhancing developmental outcomes.
  • Document patient progress accurately and timely, adhering to departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program required.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric care required, preferably with NICU conducting developmental assessments, particularly Bayley 4.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting developmental assessments, including Bayley 4.
  • Experience with NICU populations and early developmental care.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, particularly within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Physical ability to perform prolonged walking, standing, and patient handling tasks.
  • Competency in assessing and treating pediatric patients, especially neonates and infants.
