About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Assistant Treasurer to join our team at the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services. As a key member of our Management Services Division, you will play a critical role in supporting the Assistant Treasurer in managing the operational objectives of the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily coordination of the Business Services, Financial Services, Human Resources, and Information Technology units.
  • Focus on human resource strategy and functions, as well as operations improvement across the Management Services Division.
  • Work collaboratively with various agency staff to align Human Resources objectives and initiatives with the needs of the Agency.
  • Develop and implement department-based initiatives focused on improving the culture of the Agency and union-management relations.
  • Provide expertise in human resource strategy and people management, ensuring that human resource plans, procedures, and initiatives are consistent and aligned with objectives.
Requirements
  • 10 years of professional experience in human resources management or equal employment opportunity/affirmative action or labor relations management.
  • 2 years of the General Experience must have been at the full advanced working level in human resources management or equal employment opportunity/affirmative action or labor relations management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a management role administering human resources functions.
  • Supervisory experience managing three or more professional staff, including the application of management principles and techniques.
  • Experience interpreting and applying relevant state and federal laws, statutes, regulations, and bargaining unit contracts.
