Job Description:
As an Inspection C Specialist, you will perform visual, electrical, and assembly-related mechanical in-process inspections, and some final inspections, with as-required supervision, to assure compliance to company and industry specifications. Your responsibilities will include verifying previous operations, comparing work orders to assemblies, and performing visual inspections of electrical assemblies. You will also check physical appearance of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for adherence to established industry workmanship standards. Additionally, you will perform assembly-related mechanical and dimensional inspections using scales, micrometer, and calipers. You will support less experienced inspectors by assisting with informal training and reviewing records for completeness. You will also verify assembly work order test results and perform assigned surveillance audits. You will interface with internal counterparts, including Engineering, Production, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Contracts, and Internal Customers. You will inform the inspection lead and/or lead of production of any assembly problems and generate a non-conformance document. You will verify and record configuration and present to Document Control and/or the Customer/Government Representative.

You must be able to interpret and follow documents such as drawings, procedures, engineering change orders, work orders, and work instructions. You must have the ability to work with measurements and math. You must be knowledgeable of assembly practices and requirements. You must be able to interface with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Internal Customers. A valid driver's license and ability to travel to sister location in Gardena up to 20% of the time is required. A High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience is required. A one-year certificate in a quality-related field from college or technical school is desired. ANSI/J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-620 latest revisions and ESD Electrostatic Discharge are preferred. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $44,500MIN - $82,500MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
