Drywall Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at BELFOR Holdings. As a key member of our construction restoration team, you will play a critical role in restoring properties to their original state or better.

This position is responsible for providing operational support in reconstruction efforts for clients. Qualified candidates must be well-grounded in the fundamentals of carpentry and tool usage. The primary learning mode is on-the-job training through experience and interaction with intermediate and advanced carpenters.

• Take direction from experienced carpenters and supervisors
• Move and protect contents without damage
• Construct appropriate containment for construction dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants in working areas
• Perform tasks related to floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Develop full material knowledge as it relates to types, purposes, grades, and uses for trims, doors, cabinetry
• Develop proficiency in installation of various forms of insulation
• Develop under supervision full knowledge of framing, trim installation, cabinetry installation
• Develop under supervision ability to dry-in a building as it relates to roofing material installation
• Learn and understand MSDS protocols for chemicals used during mitigation processes
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean, serviceable condition
• Maintain attention to detail
• Meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
• Have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
• Work nights and weekends as requested and travel periodically
• Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately
• Attend BELFOR-sponsored operations and safety training courses as required

• Coordinating a small crew of unskilled laborers on most residential projects
• Answering simple questions about the project and when to defer questions to more qualified personnel
• Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks
• Additional other duties as required
