Position Overview:
This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, necessitating presence in one of our office locations three days a week.
Objective:
Oversee and guide Publications Teams in executing publication strategies for designated assets, ensuring the successful delivery of scientific publications such as clinical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations that align with strategic communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional Publications Teams for assigned assets, facilitating team meetings and ensuring the effective execution of publication strategies while integrating feedback from key global stakeholders.
- Manage the tactical implementation of publication strategies, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Review all publications within the assigned therapeutic area to guarantee quality and alignment with scientific communication objectives.
- Collaborate with the Scientific Communications Associate Director to integrate scientific and medical objectives into publication strategies.
- Work with the Publications Associate Director to forecast and manage the outsourcing budget and internal resource requirements for assigned assets.
- Provide managerial guidance to both internal and external medical writers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products in compliance with Publication Policy.
- Direct external vendors to ensure the successful completion of publication projects within set timelines and quality standards.
- Address and resolve any publication-related challenges for assigned therapeutic areas and assets, ensuring that project information in publication records is accurate and current.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required; a PhD or PharmD is preferred. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMPP, AMWA) are advantageous.
- 4-5 years of experience in medical/scientific publications or related fields is required, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or a medical communication agency.
- Experience in oncology is preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret medical data is essential.
- Familiarity with the therapeutic area of the product is preferred; a working knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques is required.
- Understanding of clinical/scientific publication structure, content, and quality is necessary.
- Knowledge of scientific publication regulations and best practices is required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering effective presentations to senior audiences.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners to enhance performance, demonstrating collaborative teamwork and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in forming, maintaining, and leading productive cross-functional teams, including addressing emerging issues.
- Experience with Datavision is preferred.

This position is subject to compensation range disclosures in accordance with state or local laws. The range provided reflects the potential base pay for this role, which may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
