Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT Technologist II to join our team. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for operating Cat Scan equipment, positioning patients to produce diagnostic radiographs, and performing related duties.
Key Responsibilities- Operate C.T. equipment to make radiographic scans of designated portions of the body.
- Adjust equipment and patient to correct positions for each examination.
- Instruct and explain procedures to patients.
- Select proper technical factors, on an individual patient basis.
- Perform reconstruction and special processing of data.
- Evaluate completed radiographs/scans for positioning, technique, and adequacy of examination.
- Closely observe patients, perform first aid as necessary, and confer with physicians when requested exams appear at odds with the patient's condition.
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including pulling jackets, inputting/editing exams, and completing requisitions prior to setting films to be read.
- Record and maintain data on magnetic disc, tape, PACS, and logs.
- Responsible for correct identification of film, including side and radiological factors.
- ARRT (R) certification
- Texas Medical Board certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist
- Current CPR certification
- ARRT (CT) Credential (preferred)
