Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer II to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing Echocardiography Ultrasound techniques and examinations for subsequent evaluation and interpretation by a physician.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Echo's on patients in all settings, including Intensive Care areas
  • Responsible for care of equipment, ensuring proper reporting of equipment malfunction or downtime
  • Perform quality Echocardiography diagnostic studies according to physician orders
  • Maintain records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients
  • Communicate findings to the physician interpreting the studies
  • Notify physician upon completion of study
  • Participate in 'On Call' coverage as needed
Requirements
  • BCLS Certification
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer in Echocardiography under ARDMS or CCI, to be obtained within twelve-months of employment start date
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Formal training in Echocardiography ultrasound
