Sonographer II PRN Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer II PRN to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing Echocardiography Ultrasound techniques and examinations for subsequent evaluation and interpretation by a physician.
Responsibilities- Perform Echo's on patients in all settings, including Intensive Care areas
- Responsible for care of equipment, ensuring proper reporting of equipment malfunction or downtime
- Perform quality Echocardiography diagnostic studies according to physician orders
- Maintain records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients
- Communicate findings to the physician interpreting the studies
- Notify physician upon completion of study
- Participate in "On Call" coverage as needed
- BCLS Certification
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer in Echocardiography under ARDMS or CCI, obtained within twelve-months of employment start date
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Formal training in Echocardiography ultrasound
- Knowledge of cardiovascular system
- Able to recognize abnormalities, correlate information obtained and convey preliminary findings to physician
- Proficient sonographic techniques in order to produce accurate and appropriate physiologic information
- Flexibility with work situations
- Basic clerical skills
