Job Summary:

Stability Direct is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to operate x-ray equipment and produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position and instruct patients prior to examination, adjusting x-ray equipment and determining proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explaining procedures to patients and answering questions.
  • Prepare equipment for use as needed, preparing examination rooms for patient exams, and positioning patients for imaging exams.
  • Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams, producing diagnostic images, documenting exam information, and reporting important information to physicians.
  • Administer targeted doses of radiation to treat cancer or other diseases, measuring bone mineral density at specific anatomical sites, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in radiological technology (preferred)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification (required)
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice (required in CA and HI)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (preferred)
