Position Overview:

We are currently seeking dedicated School Behavior Technicians to provide essential support in educational settings. This role is vital in enhancing the learning experiences of children and adults with special needs.

Key Locations:

Various locations within the region.

Work Schedule:

Approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience working with pediatric populations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement directives from the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), educators, and program supervisors.
  • Utilize behavior management strategies effectively, focusing on prevention, intervention, and consequences.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Review and execute behavior intervention plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Assist in the academic instruction as directed by educators.
  • Support the development plans of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Physical Therapy (PT).
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with established policies.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral and academic data efficiently.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards rigorously.
  • Facilitate the development of daily living skills in students.
  • Support students in various environments, including classrooms and recreational areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards.
  • Completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • Health assessments as required by regulations.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
